GRAMMY award-winning recording artist, T.I. and his clothing company, AKOO, teamed up with the Food Bank For New York City this week to present their 2nd annual “Cans for Cocktails” event.

Hosted at the lavish and upbeat Slate nightclub with drinks provided by CIROC & Bartenura Moscato, the annual event encouraged guests to donate non-perishable items to benefit the Food Bank For New York City.

Margarette Purvis, the CEO of the Food Bank For New York City, and staff members collected donations throughout the night, gathering a considerable amount of non-perishable goods.

T.I. stated, “After the devastation Hurricane Sandy caused the city of New York, I am glad to be able to lend my support to the Food Bank For NYC. This is AKOO’s 2nd annual food drive event, and I hope it encourages others to help as well.”

Guests included Model/Actress, Jessica White, Justin Tryon of the New York Giants, LaMarr Woodley of the Pittsburg Steelers, DJ Paul of Three6Mafia, top music and brand executives, tastemakers and fashionistas. Music was provided by DJ Ted Smooth for the magical evening.
