Cady is a two time Emmy winner, best known for her roles on “All My Children” and “As the World Turns” (which earned her both of her Emmy nods).
Her most recent film work includes: “Soldier’s Heart,” winner of Best Narrative Feature at the GI Film Festival, “Home Movie,” a psychological thriller released through IFC and the festival award winning film “Alma Mater.”
Filethirteen described her performance in “Alma Mater” as “simply awesome,” and Inside Out Toronto said the film was “superbly acted.” Cady is also known for her work in “Law and Order SVU,” “Cheers” and “St. Elsewhere.” Off-Broadway credits include David Ives’ “The Red Address” at Second Stage.
Philanthropically, Cady is involved with organizations that lend a helping hand to impoverished women both domestically and around the world. She has also spoken live on how entertainment is being used to deal with social and health issues around the world at the PCI Entertainment Summit in Washington D.C. and on acceptance and rejection at The Wisdom House in the Art and Spirituality Forum, for the Nightlight Project (serving families with AIDS).
