All proceeds from Kevin McKidd's new album will go to the charity he has long supported.
While the music has great meaning for him, McKidd said: "The most important thing is that it’s all for Save the Children."
In recent years the actor has dedicated ever more time to boosting the charity’s fundraising efforts.
The Speyside Sessions is described as “a love letter to Scotland”, the actor played guitar and sang on most of the 14 tracks, which include traditional ballads and reels.
McKidd’s Trainspotting co-star Ewan McGregor voiced a short teaser video for the album.
