Lady Gaga has visited the White House to discuss her plans for a new anti-bullying campaign.

The superstar met Obama political adviser Valerie Jarrett to discuss her plans, and made a lasting impression with the official.

“Lady Gaga has described this cause as a personal one – she has said that as a child, she was often picked on for being different,” she said after meeting Gaga. “I am deeply moved by the way she has used her story, and her success, to inspire young people, and shine the spotlight on important issues.”

Gaga will launch her own charity, the Born This Way Foundation, next year to empower youth and lead them to a braver new society “where each individual is accepted and loved as the person they were born to be.”
