George Clooney will receive a special humanitarian award at this year’s Emmys.

The actor will follow in the footsteps of Oprah and Bill Cosby when he is presented with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmys in August for his work raising awareness of genocide in Darfur with Not On Our Watch and the UN, as well as raising money for victims of Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti.

The Bob Hope Humanitarian Award was established in 2002.
