AMC has partnered with (RED) to turn this summer’s movie-going into a simple way to join the fight against AIDS.

For every movie ticket it sells from June 1-10, AMC is donating 40 cents – the daily cost of lifesaving HIV/AIDS medicine – to the Global Fund, raising up to $100,000 for the fight against AIDS.

Showing further support for the fight, AMC is donating PSA screen time for (RED)‘s ’40 Cents’ TV spot – featuring Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Julianne Moore, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Jane Lynch, Kerry Washington, Bryan Cranston, Christy Turlington, Benicio del Toro, Ludacris, and the Jonas Brothers – on all of its nearly 5,000 movie screens from Memorial Day weekend through May 30.

Deborah Dugan, CEO, (RED), said; “We have so many great new ways this summer for everyone to join the fight against AIDS, no matter where you are or what you love doing. Huge thanks to our partners for transforming summer fun times – such as watching a blockbuster movie or shopping – into a smart and easy way to support the incredible work of the Global Fund.”
