In an interview with DoSomething.org, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus said they work with charities and at charity events because, “It’s something we do as part of our career. We want to make CDs and go on tour, but we also want to do the best that we can to give back.”
The group performed at a Boost Mobile RockCorps event, which was attended by youth who had earned tickets by volunteering their time to social causes in their communities.
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus started their own The Red Jumpsuit Alliance Guardian Angel Foundation to support under funded high school band programs and promote and enhance students’ musical development. The Foundation also aims to support individuals affected by domestic violence, to break the cycle of abuse, and to contribute to research that focuses on management of acute hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.
