Oscar and Tony Award-winning actor, Jeremy Irons presented the ABC Trust's BBC Lifeline Appeal at the end of 2005 which helped to raise nearly £100 000 for their work.
Impressed by ABC’s commitment to action, he became a patron.
He is also a patron of the Prison Phoenix Trust, a charity registered in England that offers help to prisoners through the disciplines of meditation and yoga.
Irons narrated a mockumentary called The Majestic Plastic Bag, that follows the life cycle of a plastic bag as if it were one of nature’s creatures. The film urges Californians to address its “19 billion bag-a-year habit” through government action.
