Has donated to many charities, including $100,000 to AIDS Foundation Houston’s Stone Soup Pantry, for which he won a humanitarian award.
He also received an honorary doctorate from the Houston Graduate School of Theology for his charity work with children.
Foreman built The George Foreman Youth & Community Center in 1984 with money he had saved through his eight year retirement. He wanted to create a haven for kids to hang out.
