What’s better than ice cream that tastes good and does good at the same time? Ben & Jerry’s delicious new flavor, Liz Lemon, was created in collaboration with Tina Fey, a long-time Jumpstart champion and the star of NBC’s 30 Rock.

Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Jumpstart delivers a research-based and cost-effective program by training college students and community volunteers to work with preschool-age children in low-income neighborhoods. Through a proven curriculum, these children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for kindergarten, setting them on a path for lifelong success.

Thanks to the generous support of Tina Fey, Ben & Jerry’s has dedicated this lemony-blueberry-y flavor in honor of Jumpstart’s Corps members’ service in preschool classrooms across the country. Find out more about the flavor here.

Liz Lemon is popping up in Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops and grocery stores nationwide. Enjoy Liz Lemon on April 17, 2013 at Scribbles to Novels in New York City, featuring special guests Tina Fey, Brian Williams and the Honorable Cory A. Booker. Jumpstart’s Scribbles to Novels is a unique fundraising event that celebrates the power of written word. Across the country, they unite prominent authors, celebrities and leaders in early childhood education to underscore the importance of literature in children’s lives and reinforce their critical mission—to work toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.
