Up and coming American singer Alison Sudol – better known as A Fine Frenzy – entertained children when she dropped in to Ronald McDonald House Camberwell, the ‘home away from home’ for families of children being treated at London’s King’s College Hospital, on Saturday 26 January 2013.

Just days before the UK release of her latest album, Alison was taken on a tour of the House and met children including nine year-old Aliana Inglis and four year-old Shaileigh Howard. To the delight of the children, Alison then read extracts from her new book, A Story of Pines, and spent time talking with her star-struck young fans and drawing with them to create artwork for the newly refurbished 24 bedroom House.

Alison says: "I was so pleased to be able to spend some time at the House with these lovely, clever and charming children.

“I was particularly touched to hear more about the work of the House. I can imagine that having a child in hospital is one of the most stressful things that can happen to a family. By providing somewhere safe and homely to stay near King’s College Hospital for parents to sleep, eat and cook, staff and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House help to bring a sense of normality to these families when their lives are in turmoil.”
