Academy Award-winning actress Sandra Bullock will accept the award for “Favorite Humanitarian” at PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2013, to be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Wednesday, Jan. 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The People’s Choice Awards will honor Sandra Bullock with the first-ever award for “Favorite Humanitarian” for her generous philanthropic efforts throughout her career, specifically her ongoing commitment to Warren Easton High School in New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. She has contributed funds for college scholarships for graduating seniors, band uniforms, athletic equipment and has helped fund the renovation to the auditorium and the construction of a school-based health clinic. To celebrate these efforts, Bullock will be presented with a custom Waterford Crystal trophy during PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2013.

The Red Carpet Arrivals Show will stream live on www.PeoplesChoice.com, the official website for PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS. Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger will co-host with DailyCandy Chief Correspondent SuChin Pak from outside the Nokia Theater L.A. Live on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 (8:00pm ET/5:00 pm PT). The webcast will feature fan favorites in movies, music and TV, highlight the stars as they arrive on the red carpet and feature commentary from fashion expert Tim Gunn who will be on hand to identify red carpet trends.
