The Humane Society of the United States invites you to join them at Cipriani 42nd Street on November 2 for To The Rescue New York, a gala to celebrate the life-saving work of their Animal Rescue Team.

Every year, the Animal Rescue Team works with law enforcement and local communities to rescue thousands of animals from life-threatening cruelty and devastating natural disasters. When animals are in danger, the Animal Rescue Team is ready to respond at a moment’s notice with its state-of-the-art vehicles and trained responders. In 2011 and 2012, the team rescued and cared for more than 11,000 animals, and we know the need will only continue to grow.

The Animal Rescue Team also works with law enforcement to investigate illegal animal cruelty such as puppy mills and animal fighting, and to help seize animals who are abused and neglected. In all cases, the team coordinates the handling, care, sheltering, and placement of rescued animals so they can find their forever homes.

The event will feature a cocktail reception, gourmet vegan dinner created by celebrity chef Tal Ronnen and Cipriani, live auction, and a special appearance by the Animal Rescue Team. Colbie Caillat will perform and also receive the Human Advocate Award.

The Honorary Committee includes Kaley Cuoco, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Emily Deschanel, Kathy Freston, Tricia Helfer, Carrie Ann Inaba, Wendie Malick, Rose McGowan, Maria Menounos, Moby, Paige Rense Noland, Chynna Phillips and William Baldwin, Pauley Perrette, Charlotte Ross, Hal Sparks, Hilary Swank, Loretta Swit and Michael Vartan.
