Taylor Swift has made a donation of $10,000 to the Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Allston.

The singer made the donation after pranksters entered the school in a competition that offered the chance to win a performance by the singer. However, competition organizers removed the school from the competition after thousands of people voted as a result of the prank.

But the school was not left totally empty handed – Taylor made a personal donation of $10,000 to the school, and also promised free tickets to her next local concert to every student at the school. The donation was soon matched by $10,000 donations from Cover Girl and American Greetings, and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation pledged $10,000 of instruments to the school.
