On Sunday, October 7th, animal lovers and Hollywood stars who love their feline and canine friends will participate in Kitten Rescue's fifth annual Fur Ball fundraiser.

This year’s event, All In For Animals, will be held at the historic club Avalon located at 1735 Vine Street in Hollywood. The event will be a star-studded celebrity poker tournament and casino night, which will raise funds and awareness for the amazing animal rescue work that Kitten Rescue does to save cats and dogs in the Los Angeles community.

Over the last fifteen years, Kitten Rescue has saved the lives of over 12,000 cats and dogs and continues to give hope and safety to abandoned and homeless cats and dogs at their Casitas cat sanctuary.

Among the stars confirmed to attend are Christa Campbell – (“Drive Angry”, “The Mechanic”), Chris Massey (Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101”), Fred Coury (drummer for Cinderella), Jackson Galaxy (cat behaviorist and host of the TV show “My Cat from Hell”), Jenifer Lewis (“Hereafter”, “Meet The Browns”, “Think Like A Man”), Justin Hopkins (recording artist / NBC’s hit show “The Voice”), Kate Linder (“The Young & The Restless”), Katrina Parker (recording artist / NBC’s hit show “The Voice”), Kyle Massey ( Disney’s “That’s So Raven” and “Dancing with the Stars” finalist), Layla Kayleigh (TV host – “America’s Best Dance Crew” & “World Poker Tour”), Nestor Serrano (“24”, “Act of Valor”, “The Day After Tomorrow”), Sara Rue (“Less Than Perfect”, “Rules of Engagement”, “Malibu Country”), Shanna Moakler (“Pacific Blue”), Steve Covino (Sirius XM radio host) and Tricia Helfer (“Battlestar Galactica”).

At 6pm guests will be invited to enjoy cocktails, hor d’oeuvres and the silent auction. At 7pm guests will be invited into the majestic Avalon ballroom where they will be greeted by the sounds of DJ Kid Fish. Poker enthusiasts will battle it out at the tables against Kitten Rescue’s celebrity supporters for fabulous prizes.

The winner of the All In For Animals celebrity poker tournament will get to choose between a fabulous vacation package which includes a week-long stay at a beautiful villa in Forte Dei Marmi, Italy for up to 10 people donated by Italy’s event planner to the stars Monica Balli, airfare for two, a welcome dinner, and Taste of Tuscany cooking lessons valued at over $20,000 or a $3,700 entry into the 2013 Legends of Poker Main Event at The Bicycle Casino in August 2013 for the chance to win over $500,000 in prize money. The second place finisher will win the prize not chosen by the winner of the tournament. The third place finisher will receive a two night stay at the swanky Andaz West Hollywood with dinner for two at RH restaurant valued at $950 and the 4th place finisher will win a $200 gift certificate to the famed Spago eatery generously donated by AKA Beverly Hills along with two bottles of TY KU premium sake.

Partygoers may also try their luck at the Blackjack, Roulette and Craps tables where they will have the chance to win spa, beauty, fashion and luxury items. Gourmet vegan delicacies and desserts will be served and guests will enjoy delicious goodies courtesy of Pretzel Crisps, Fabe’s All Natural Bakery and KIND snacks. Refreshing beverages will be provided by Honest Tea and hydration powered by smartwater. Kitten Rescue will honor TV Personality Jackson Galaxy of Animal Planet’s “My Cat From Hell” at the event, for his advocacy work and Kitten Rescue’s Volunteer of the Year, Sandra Harrison. Jackson Galaxy will also help co-host the live auction which will feature priceless and once in a lifetime items and experience packages which include, the best seats in the house at the TONY award winning musical “The Book of Mormon”, donated by show co-creator Trey Parker valued at $3,000, a set visit to Rachel Bilson's CW hit show “Hart of Dixie” and tickets to the live studio audience of the EMMY award winning show “Two and a Half Men.” Also included will be a very special package donated by Jackson which includes a signed copy of his book “Cat Daddy” and the audio book companion, along with an AllPopArt personalized canvas painting of the winner’s animal friend, a 13×13 stretched canvas copy of the portrait created of Jackson’s cat created by AllPopArt plus the necklace that Jackson wore on Season 2 of his show.
