The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is proud to announce multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning singer, author and actress LeAnn Rimes as the headlining performer for their Songwriters Music Series Napa presented by William Hill Estate Wines and RAYMOND WEIL.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 20th from 6:30 – 10:00 PM at the storied William Hill Estate in Napa, California and follows the April 2012 kick-off with Award-winning soul singer-songwriter Robin Thicke this past April in Chicago, IL. Napa marks the second stop in the series, which is also set to return to New York City this October on Halloween night.

The renowned Songwriters Music Series, which originally featured performances by Rob Thomas, Jewel, The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo), Darius Rucker, BeBe Winans, Cyndi Lauper and more, re-launched in 2011. The newly designed Series offers a unique platform for energized and socially conscious professionals to network amidst great music, a sponsored bar and passed hors d’oeuvres. Each event features an up close and personal acoustic performance with chart-topping artists and up-and-coming musicians.

Past performers for the revitalized Songwriters Music Series include: Glee star Matthew Morrison, ACM Award-winning sibling trio The Band Perry, Grammy Award winning musician Colbie Caillat and Billboard Magazine’s “2011 Artist To Watch” Andy Grammer. Since the 2011 launch, the Songwriters Music Series has raised over $388,000, which continues to help restore 12 music education programs nationwide.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s Songwriters Music Series,” said LeAnn Rimes. “Music is such an important part of my life and I’m happy to help spread awareness about the incredible work VH1 Save The Music is doing to keep music education programs in our schools. I look forward to a great show!”

LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 40 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. This year, she’ll be releasing her highly anticipated studio album, “Spitfire.” “Spitfire” was completely self-written by Rimes and touches upon personal aspects of her life. Rimes is the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award, and was also the first country recording artist to win in the “Best New Artist” category. Rimes has placed 42 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 13 of which are top-10 hits, and has scored numerous hit singles in her career, including “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” which went #1 in 11 countries, and “How Do I Live,” which is the second longest charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Rimes is also an accomplished actress and author, including writing two children’s books Jag and Jag’s New Friend, as well as the novel, Holiday in Your Heart and the inspirational book What I Cannot Change.

“We are thrilled to have such an incredible talent in LeAnn Rimes perform at Songwriters Music Series Napa,” said Paul Cothran, Vice President & Executive Director of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. “This has been a great platform for us to spread awareness about the importance of music education and raise funds to help restore programs nationwide. With LeAnn Rimes’ help, we hope to surpass the funds raised in 2011 and we are certainly in for a great evening!”

This year, the Foundation is also presenting an exclusive social media initiative, “Songwriters Moments In Time with RAYMOND WEIL,” which will give audiences everywhere a behind the scenes look at each Songwriters event, with special talent interviews and more. Additional local sponsors include: Crash & Burn Apparel, New Amsterdam Gin and Vodka, Camarena Tequila as well as Imagine Chocolate.
