Sir Paul McCartney has joined the new Global Tolerance “Don’t Judge” campaign – adding his voice to Nicole Kidman, Ellen DeGeneres, Daniel Craig, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Natalie Portman and Dame Judi Dench.
The legendary former Beatle has chosen a phrase of tolerance – “Live and Let Live” – which summarizes the both global – and personal – message of the Everyone Matters campaign.
Global celebrities are joining with leading organizations — representing women and men, black and white, gay and straight, the disabled, children, seniors, ethnic, racial and religious groups — in a collective message to “Open Your Heart to Everyone’s Differences” and “Everyone has the right NOT to be judged based on who they are, or how they look.”
The online and grassroots campaign is using social media and digital content as it invites the public to engage by uploading “I Am!” photos of affirmation; videos and blogs sharing experiences being judged – and judging others; and signing up for the “24-Hour Challenge” to Not Judge in Thought or Action; and school-based “America’s Ideals” competition, and “Letting Go of Judgment” Tree project.
