Comedian Russell Brand may have raised eyebrows in the past but on the 27th of October, you can join him and other philanthropists in raising money for Friendly House.

The charity, one of the first treatment centers for women recovering from substance abuse, honored Brand in 2011 with their Man of the Year Award following his action against substance abuse when he went into discussion with MPs previously that year.

In October, the charity will host its 23rd Annual Awards Luncheon with Russell Brand acting as Master of Ceremonies and 2 time Oscar nominee Viola Davis being awarded Woman of the Year. The open invitation includes a charity auction and lunch with other guests such as Somner Redstone and Dr Pat Allen.
