Legendary actor Morgan Freeman released a letter stating how we can all double our generosity with one donation, thanks to Former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton is asking people to join him in giving more people around the world the tools and opportunities they need to create a better future for themselves and their families, and is offering to match all donations received before midnight tonight, June 26, 2012.

Freeman wrote:

The measure of a man doesn’t lie in titles or awards but in the legacy he leaves behind.

As a fellow supporter of the Clinton Foundation, I’m sure you agree that President Clinton is creating one amazing legacy.

His work to help farmers in Africa acquire the tools they need to become self-sufficient is just one incredible example. And right now, you have a chance to help enable this work – and add to your own legacy.

There’s no better time to make a gift, because until midnight tonight, President Clinton will personally match your donation.

You and I both know the need is great. But while it can be easy to feel disheartened, I also feel hope, because the Clinton Foundation is changing the world for the better.

Every donation helps create sustainable change in Africa by providing people with the tools they need to improve their lives:

$143 provides supplies for one farmer in Malawi to grow an acre of soybeans;

$91 provides the seeds for one farmer to plant over 300 mango trees;

$35 provides enough seeds and supplies to plant thousands of lumber trees – providing jobs for generations of families in Rwanda.

These life-changing effects will be felt long after your original gift is put to work. That’s because President Clinton and his Foundation focus on high-quality endeavors that have lasting benefits for entire communities.

But these results are only possible because of people like you.

Remember, you only have until midnight tonight to have your support doubled by President Clinton.

Thank you for your generosity. I’m proud to join you as a supporter of this incredible organization and of President Clinton’s vision of a better world.

– Morgan Freeman
