ELLE, the No. 1 fashion magazine in the world, has announced its third annual Women in Music 2012 event in celebration of the upcoming May Women in Music issue, on newsstands April 17.

The private concert event will take place on April 11th at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA, and will feature performances by acclaimed artists including British singer-songwriters Jessie J and Ellie Goulding, as well as Danish singer-songwriter and record producer Oh Land. D.J. Daisy O’Dell will spin between performances throughout the evening.

ELLE has long celebrated women who lead and make a meaningful impact on the culture, like those featured in this year’s Women in Music issue and at ELLE.com,” said ELLE editor-in-chief Robbie Myers. “We are thrilled to share their talent with our readers, and to bring the pages of our May issue to life through the event.”

ELLE Women in Music 2012 will open with a custom RealD 3D introduction, featuring custom content created by World War Seven from the May issue set to music. Guests will mingle with the biggest names in the music industry while enjoying intimate live performances and the opportunity to engage with Presenting Sponsor Ford Mustang’s new high-tech customizer tool. Guests will have exclusive access to view custom Ford Mustang vehicles created by the Women in Music talent and can virtually create their own Ford Mustang through a touch-screen customizer on-site.

Supporting Sponsor, Swiss watch company RAYMOND WEIL has created a long-standing international presence in the arts, particularly focusing on music and their partnership with the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. Consumers and Facebook fans have the chance to win a unique watch from RAYMOND WEIL signed by ELLE’s Women in Music following the event through RAYMOND WEIL’s Facebook page.

The third annual Women in Music event will benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education programs in America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.

Each year, ELLE curates the Women in Music issue to include in-depth profiles of both established and emerging female artists, giving readers a closer look at some of their favorite entertainers, as well as an inside scoop on rising stars. Additional artists profiled this year include Rihanna, Azealia Banks, Emily Haines, Kelly Clarkson, Kimberly Perry, Lana Del Rey, Patti Smith, Santigold and Shirley Manson.
