Revlon, Lilly Tartikoff, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) has announced that Revlon Brand Ambassadors Halle Berry, Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde will host this year’s EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women taking place in New York on Saturday, May 5 and in Los Angles on Saturday, May 12.

“It is almost impossible to describe the feeling of standing brefore tens of thousands of women, men and children at the EIF Revlon Run/Walk,” said Halle. “There is such unity, emotion and hope among the participants and it is truly an honor to once again lend my name to the event and the ongoing fight against women’s cancers. Please join me in spreading the word so that we can further the research efforts and continue to save lives.”

Stone and Wilde are first time hosts of the event and will be onsite in New York, while Berry, celebrating her sixth year with the Run/Walk, will be in Los Angeles. With tens of thousands of supporters each year and having distributed more than $65 million to date, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk is one of the nation’s largest single-day fundraisers to support women’s cancer research, counseling and outreach programs in New York City and Los Angeles.

“When I moved to Los Angeles years ago, one of the first things I did was participate in the EIF Revlon Run/Walk,” said Olivia. “I remember how moving it was to be amidst thousands of cancer survivors, patients and their loved ones. It’s hard to believe that now I have the privilege of being a co-host for the New York Run/Walk. It is truly one of the best parts of my job as a Revlon Global Ambassador and I hope that we have a record breaking year with participants and fundraising for this important event.”

“Like too many others, my life has been touched by cancer, so the EIF Revlon Run/Walk is very close to my heart and a big reason why I wanted to become a Revlon Ambassador,” added Emma. “I am truly honored and excited to be part of this inspirational event and to walk side-by-side in unity with the other participants in our fight to find a cure for women’s cancers. I encourage everyone, including those not able to attend the event, to find a way to support the cause and the Run/Walk.”

The 15th annual New York race will start in Times Square and finish in the East Meadow of Central Park attracting over 20,000 participants. The 19th annual Los Angeles race will take place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park and attracts over 40,000 participants each year. The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women was launched in 1994 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc. and EIF.

“The EIF Revlon Run/Walk has positively impacted the lives of millions of cancer patients and the families, friends, loved ones and caretakers who support them,” says Ronald Perelman, co-founder of the Run/Walk and co-founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program. “I would like to thank all of the volunteers and city officials who help make our event possible each year, as well as the thousands of men, women and children who unite on both coasts to join us in our fight against women’s cancers.”

“We are so grateful to those who join us every year to show their support,” says Lilly Tartikoff, co-founder of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women and co-founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program. “They are our inspiration and the force behind our success. Their stories and their determination help us raise much-needed funds for research and support programs.”

Proceeds from past EIF Revlon Run/Walks have funded cutting-edge research and targeted therapies, bringing new and innovative treatment approaches to women’s cancers worldwide. Monies raised have also helped numerous organizations in providing education, advocacy, and outreach services to those affected by women’s cancers.

“Throughout the years, Revlon and the entire entertainment community have shown their unending support for our cause,” says Lisa Paulsen, President and CEO of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. “Without their participation, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk would not be the incredibly successful fundraiser it is today and an event to look forward to every year.”
