Linkin Park's Music for Relief has announced a very special competition for the band’s fans… and those who want to help bring solar light to Haiti.
The band launched the Power The World campaign earlier this month, asking supporters to donate $10 at PowerTheWorld.org to give a renewable, clean solar light bulb to families who otherwise live in darkness in the earthquake-ravaged country.
Now, in addition to donating to provide a solar powered lightbulb for a family in Haiti, you can also make an enormous impact in solving the problem by sharing the message. To enter, go to the Power The World site and click on the “Share This Site To Win” icon in the bottom right corner. Then type in your email address to get your own unique Power The World URL. Share your URL on Facebook, Twitter and in emails to people you know, encourage them to click on the link to learn about Power the World and to help you win.
The campaign is giving away prizes like signed copies of Linkin Park’s A Thousand Suns and solar powered light bulbs each week to the person who shares their link to Power the World and gets the most clicks. Between now and March 1, the person who gets the most clicks on their link will win the Grand Prize: a commemorative Power the World plaque signed by Linkin Park and a Voltaic Converter Solar Backpack, donated by Voltaic Systems.
