NFL star Adrian Peterson and his All Day Foundation will make the holiday shopping experience more meaningful with the debut of a revolutionary new browser app called the GIVING ASSISTANT, which directs funds raised in online shopping to programs that support youth, build self-esteem, promote healthy lifestyles and prevent gang involvement. The GIVING ASSISTANT is a free download powered by GlobalMojo, a socially conscious technology company based in Seattle and San Francisco.

The GIVING ASSISTANT installs seamlessly into your favorite browser in seconds (available for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer) and notifies you of more than 1,000 participating partners when you are shopping. Each time a purchase is made with an approved partner, a percentage of sales is automatically redirected to programs that support at-risk children at no additional cost to the shopper. Whether you’re gifting books, DVDs or clothing, or planning your holiday travel, consumers can give twice this holiday season…once to those on their own shopping list and once to others in need.

“Playing football has afforded me many opportunities, chief among them the ability to help kids,” said Peterson. “It was always in my heart to be able to give back if I was put in that position. With this new technology, everyone can give back…just by doing what they already do online every day.”

Users of the new app qualify to win one-of-a-kind monthly prizes. The first month’s prize is an all-expense paid trip for two to meet Peterson at the 2012 Super Bowl. Every new user will automatically receive a hundred entries to win the Super Bowl prize. Additional entries can be earned when users invite their friends to download and use the app. Future prizes awarded every month include Hollywood set visits, signed memorabilia, holiday get-aways and more meet and greets with your favorite stars and athletes.

Peterson launched the Football For Good program – which got support from Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher – to create widespread awareness of and raise funds for community programs for at-risk youth. The GIVING ASSISTANT is part of the Football For Good program, which is also supported by the Oakland Raiders’ Michael Huff, the Chicago Bears’ Roy Williams, the Cincinnati Bengals’ Jermaine Gresham, the Indianapolis Colts’ Dallas Clark and the Philadelphia Eagles’ DeSean Jackson.
