Sienna Miller has personally selected a variety of clothing and accessories from her own closet to be auctioned off through eBay to benefit charity.
A long-time spokesperson and Global Ambassador for International Medical Corps, Miller has visited field programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti and most recently, Ethiopia to raise awareness of the ongoing famine.
“This is an organization that is very close to my heart,” said Miller. “After seeing International Medical Corps’ courageous work up-close I was determined to become more involved. These people work in the toughest conditions imaginable, saving lives every single day, and bringing self-reliance and hope to the world’s most vulnerable people. I am honored to be their ambassador.”
Running from November 7th-17th at www.siennamillerauctions.com on eBay, the auction features gowns worn by the actress to industry events, as well as fashionable, more everyday items selected by Miller. With no minimum bids, even the budget-conscious can own a piece of Miller’s closet, with all proceeds going to International Medical Corps health care relief efforts around-the-world. Items include jackets, dresses, jeans, skirts, pants, shorts, tops, boots, handbags, heels and hats.
Since its founding in 1984, International Medical Corps has delivered more than $1.1 billion in emergency relief and health care services to tens of millions of people in over 65 countries, including during the crisis in Darfur, the Indian Ocean tsunami, the earthquake in Haiti, and the ongoing famine in East Africa.
Miller was presented with the Global Activist Award at International Medical Corps’ 2011 Annual Awards Celebration on November 8, recognizing her remarkable commitment to the organization and advocacy for those in greatest need. As Global Ambassador, she has tirelessly supported International Medical Corps’ mission, bringing its humanitarian efforts to a worldwide audience.
