Hard Rock International honored breast cancer survivor Melissa Etheridge with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, to launch Hard Rock’s 2011 PINKTOBER breast cancer awareness campaign, and Look To The Stars has photos.

Melissa has been an integral part of Hard Rock's PINKTOBER program for nearly six years, and with her help, the campaign has raised millions worldwide for breast cancer awareness and research.

“I’m honored and thrilled to be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and it’s an added bonus that I’m able to share this with my Hard Rock PINKTOBER family,” she said. “Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER program has given me a platform to share my message of hope and to educate people around the world about this life-altering disease.”
