Desperate HousewivesFelicity Huffman will be at the 2011 Power of Choice Summit and Reception in Los Angeles this week.

The Summit will bring together more than 150 students, activists, and community leaders for a training and an educational experience. Featuring engaging speakers and interactive presentations, summit attendees will walk away with up-to-date information about reproductive rights and the tools they need to make a difference in their community.

From the organizers: "As a result of the 2010 elections, today anti-choice politicians dominate the U.S. House of Representatives and are focused on attacking women’s reproductive freedom. Now is the time for California to do what California does best – with energy, ingenuity and financial resources, we must lead a pro-choice nation.

“The Power of Choice Summit will bring together students, activists and community leaders for education and training, featuring a session on dangerous “Crisis Pregnancy Centers.” There will also be a session featuring Black Women for Wellness and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice discussing anti-choice billboards. Free parking provided.

“Called the “chic mecca” by Vanity Fair magazine, The Standard Hollywood Hotel will provide the backdrop for the Power of Choice Reception. Sponsors and guests will join Event Co-Chairs Felicity Huffman and Bettina Duval and enjoy cocktails and appetizers poolside, while hearing from NARAL Pro-Choice America President Nancy Keenan and 2011 Champion of Choice Honoree Corky Hale Stoller."
