Sir Richard Branson will speak live on stage in Auckland, New Zealand, in October, at a special dinner.

The Virgin boss will talk about “how to make a difference” at all levels including business, family and the self, and will be joined by Master of Ceremonies Martin Bayfield and Kiwi music legend Dave Dobbyn.

The banquet will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Outward Bound. Established in 1962 as a Charitable Trust, Outward Bound has the vision of: Better People, Better Communities, Better World. Outward Bound enables people to understand their full potential through adventure and challenge in the outdoors.

With over 50,000 New Zealanders having completed a course, Outward Bound’s 50th Anniversary year will be a celebration of what has been achieved and more importantly focus efforts to ensure Outward Bound continues to develop people for another 50 years.

The event takes place at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre on October 20, and will feature a five course gourmet banquet featuring the best cuisine Auckland has to offer, as well a charity auction (8 lots) with net proceeds benefiting Outward Bound.
