UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham has recorded a new video message calling on UK young people to take part in UNICEF’s Junior 8 (J8) competition.

“At UNICEF’s Junior 8 event later this year, young people from all over the world will gather in Japan, where the G8 Summit is taking place,” said Beckham. “[They] will have their voices and ideas heard by eight of the world’s most powerful leaders.”
Beckham has called on 13-17 year olds to enter a new competition to win the chance to represent their country at the J8 Summit in Japan in July.

“Children have lots to say and good points to make,” he said. “I think they should be listened to.”
The J8 will give young people the unique opportunity to speak out about the global issues that are important to them.
