British TV and radio personality Fearne Cotton will run a half marathon next month to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Cotton will compete in the Bath half marathon on behalf of CoppaFeel, a charity set up by 24-year-old Kristin Hallenga, a remarkable young woman who was misdiagnosed twice by doctors before finding out she was in the advanced stages of breast cancer.

“I was introduced to Kris through Jenny,” says Fearne. "She is one of the most inspirational and brave people I have ever met.

“Whilst fighting an incredibly brave battle of her own, Kris set about making it her mission to educate young women on the importance of checking their boobs regularly and knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.”

Now in its 30th Year, the Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It is also one of the largest (if not the largest) charity fundraisers in the South West, raising over £1.3 million for charity last year alone.

The event will see 100 people take part in the half marathon for the charity on March 6. More information can be found at the CoppaFeel website.
