Celebrities will be walking quite a few red carpets during ‘Oscar’ week in Los Angeles next month, but perhaps the most important carpet they’ll walk will be Global Green's ‘green carpet.’

The Annual Global Green Pre-Oscar Party is where celebrities and other eco-luminaries are treated to the best in eco-products at the green products showcase and an organic bar. The evening culminates with stellar musical performances that help drive home Global Green’s message.

Only 1,500 guests are invited to the Feb 23rd event, where media and press will gather to hear the latest green messages from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars as they walk the ‘green carpet.’

Global Green’s celebrity supporters have helped make this annual event a must-attend event for environmentally-minded members of the Hollywood community.

Past attendees have included: Oscar nominees Leonardo DiCaprio, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek and James Cameron, along with Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, Orlando Bloom, Adrian Grenier, Bill Maher, Rosario Dawson, Heather Graham, Neil Patrick Harris, Dana Delany, Christian Slater, Oliver Stone, Norman Lear, Governor Bill Richardson and dozens of other celebrities.

Last year, more than three dozen celebrities walked the green carpet.

Past musical performances have included Maroon 5, Scott Weiland, Perry Farrell, Damien Rice, Michael Franti, the Swell Season, Camp Freddy, Gavin Rosdale and Sheryl Crow.
