A starburst of A-Listers will join forces with Uncommon Dialogue Films host Patrick Kilpatrick (Minority Report, Criminal Minds) to benefit the City of Hope Marrow Donor Program at the ‘2010 Hollywood Shotgun Sporting Clays Invitational.’

Triple B Shotgun Sporting Park is the backdrop for this star-studded competition on Saturday October 9th in Los Angeles, California. 200+ International Shooters and 40 Top Global Celebrities will enjoy a fun-filled day of World Class eco-friendly Sporting Clays shooting to benefit ‘Be The Match Marrow Registry’ at City of Hope.

Stars expected to take part include Colin Farrell (Phone Booth, Alexander), Aaron Eckhart (Dark Knight, Thank You For Smoking), James Woods, (Shark, Once Upon A Time In America), Ron Perlman (Sons Of Anarchy, Hellboy), Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck, Fantastic 4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer), Ivan Sergei (The Break-Up, The Opposite Sex), Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds, The Godfather: III), Michael Rooker (Cliffhanger, Jumper), Ralph Moeller (Gladiator, The Scorpion King), Jesse Camacho (Curse Of Alcatraz, The Champagne Gang), Ernie Hudson (The Crow, Ghostbusters), Elizabeth Berkley (Showgirls, Roger Dodger), Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911!, The 40 Year Old Virgin), Dominika Wolski (Andromeda, Dark Angel) and Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives, Harsh Times)

The City of Hope Mobile Bone Marrow Testing Unit will be on-hand for celebrities and all event participants to be entered into the national registry with the ultimate goal of finding a match for an adult or child in need of bone marrow, or stem-cell treatment. Teams of Shooters and celebrities compete against one another in the day-long extravaganza to achieve the highest point total. Of all the shooting sports, Sporting Clays is the most contemporary. Attendees rotate from station to station – much like a golf course – to shoot bio-degradable clay saucers launched at varying speeds, angles, heights, and directions. From the sporting world joining the competition are Jon Michael McGrath II – Sporting Clays National & World Junior Champion; Sergeant Glenn Eller – Sporting Clays Gold medal winner, Beijing, China Olympics; Taran Butler – four-time USPSA Multi Gun National Tactical Champion; Sergeant Vincent Hancock – Sporting Clays Gold medal winner, Beijing, China Olympics; Moses Smith – California State Champion; and Tony Schumacher – seven-time NHRA Champion; round out the fire power at the event. Safety is paramount at the 2010 Invitational. Responsible firearm handling is the order of the day as international competitors, instructors and long time shooting actors and directors will counsel and supervise those celebrities new to the sport.

“It’s absolute fun. Challenging, yet a sport that everyone can enjoy and excel”said Uncommon Dialogue Films CEO, actor Patrick Kilpatrick.

Celebrities receive mandatory safety and shooting clinic instruction with a state of the art loaner shotgun after the red carpet and 5-star breakfast. Participants can walk the scenic course, or travel by golf-car from station-to station with some stops sporting extra activities and special treats for added fun and adventure. The event is open to the public to purchase tickets.

Competitors shoot a total of 100 clays split into two-parts with a break for a gourmet picnic lunch. At the end of the event everyone gathers for a sunset cocktail party, awards ceremony, entertainment, and an amazing live auction. Honors include top, runner up and third place shooter, celebrity veteran shooter, celebrity new shooter, and top male and female shooter. No one walks away empty handed as gift-bags full of eco outdoor sport activity items are waiting for everyone.

“Shooting is one sport where the master shooter can compete equally with the novice” said Kilpatrick. The day begins with the Red Carpet, Team Assignments, Safety Clinic, and 5-star cuisine.
