- Nicolas Cage, Diddy, George Clooney each donated $1 million.
- Oprah donated $1 million through her charity, Oprah's Angel Network
- Hilary Duff donated $250,000.
- John Travolta delivered supplies using his private plane.
- Sean Penn rescued people using an occasionally leaky boat.
- Michael Jackson offered a song, “From the Bottom of My Heart”.
- Jamie Foxx raised $600,000 with a celebrity auction.
