Earlier this month, teen star Justin Bieber took time out of his busy schedule to lend support to Usher's New Look Foundation's first World Leadership Awards in Atlanta.

“You know, I’m really excited to be here to support Usher, my mentor, and his New Look Foundation. I’m here [and] I’m performing tonight. I’m also helping out another charity,” he shared on the red carpet. "It’s called Pencils of Promise. It’s all about giving back and helping out kids that need education. It’s really important that I’m able to help out other kids. I’m a kid myself, so it means a lot to me."

ATL star Ciara, Former President Clinton, and So So Def boss Jermaine Dupri also attended the event.

“As a philanthropist, I’m happy to do what I do,” Usher told MTV. “The idea of it comes from who I am as a businessman. That model is something that I share with the kids. That … you can do anything you want to do, as long as you have the belief and come up with an idea [and] a goal [and] set it at a very young age. I remember being 18 years old saying that I wanted to do all of what is a reality now.”
