Mick Jagger, lead singer of The Rolling Stones, announced on July 4 that he was adding his world-famous voice to the 1GOAL: Education for All campaign – joining a growing list of local and international stars from the entertainment world.
Jagger signed up to the 1GOAL campaign after talking to children participating in 1GOAL’s Education at your Feet project in Johannesburg – and discovering that 72 million children around the world are denied an education.
“I am honored to support 1GOAL. I love football and to raise awareness that 72 million children are denied an education through this global sport is truly amazing,” said Sir Mick. “I want to urge you – even if you are not a football fan like me – to sign up to this campaign and help leave a legacy from this World Cup – to get every child into school.”
