For the 10th year, Chely Wright hosted her Reading, Writing and Rhythm benefit concert in Nashville on Tuesday, June 8.

Since its inception, her non-profit organization has raised more than a million dollars for music education in public schools, mostly through the proceeds of her annual all-star concerts. This year, funds will go to the Nashville schools that lost their musical instruments in last month’s flood.

“I couldn’t be more surprised or more pleased. It’s just a testament to country music fans and the amazing artists that have come out,” she says. “Everybody who is anybody has come out and donated their time and their talent to this event. Again, we’ve got a great lineup. It’s shocking how well this non-profit has done.”

Country star Trisha Yearwood joined Rodney Crowell, SHeDAISY, Justin Moore, Buxton Hughes, Bucky Covington and Jamey Johnson for the gig, held at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
