Justin Bieber is delighted that a group of his fans helped him raise over $200,000 for a children’s hospital in Buffalo, New York.

The teenage star appealed for fans to help raise the cash earlier this year.

“Heading to buffalo and rochester ny tomorrow…they helped me raise over $200k for a children’s hospital up there. Incredibly proud of them!” he wrote on his official Twitter page on Tuesday. “The fans in Buffalo raised $200k in pennies for charity…that is 20 Million Pennies!!! WOW!! VERY PROUD!!”

Justin Bieber is quickly making a name for himself in the philanthropy world – earlier this month he attended a Clinton Global Initiative event in Florida, and took part in the recording of We Are The World 25. He was also part of Ricky Martin's campaign to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake.
