How much is actress Eliza Dushku's time worth? How about $2,765 for 10 minutes?
On April 1st, Dushku auctioned off a 10-minute live video chat with herself to benefit Camp Hale Alumni Association via eBay.
The day before the auction ended, Eliza encouraged her fans to bid, saying on Twitter, “My Sentimental Stweets~ want to video-chat w/ me? One day left to bid on final auction item: http://bit.ly/bNbvGl let’s talk!”
It took 41 bids for the winner to secure the chat with Eliza. The winner will also receive a signed photo.
According to Contact Music, the Bring It On star has already raised $23,086 for Camp Hale by selling screen costumes and designer outfits, also through eBay’s Giving Works. Funds from the most recent string of auctions – including the chat, signed photos and Signed/Personalized WET Games for XBox 360 and PS3 – total just over $5000.
Camp Hale provides residential camping experiences for low-income Boston boys. Summers at camp contribute to improved success in school, work, sports, conflict-resolution and interpersonal relations. CHAA is comprised of several generations of people from all over the world who recognize the impact that camp has had in their lives and the lives of loved ones.
