Jackie Chan helped raise US$5.2 million in Singapore on Sunday, March 21.

The action star and singer appeared at the Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution fundraising event at the MediCorp Theater to benefit the free hospital. Chan is an ambassador for the institution, and spent the morning before the event visiting patients and learning more about how the facility works. He made a personal donation of $100,000 at the event on Sunday.

Established in 1867, the institution treats over 600 people in its outpatient and specialist clinics every day. It depends on charitable donations to operate.

Jackie was joined at the event by asian performers such as Wakin Chau and Michelle Yim.
