Supermodel Naomi Campbell is proving to be much more than just a pretty face, as the British beauty has announced a second ‘Fashion for Relief Haiti’ gala as part of London Fashion Week.
Her first event took center stage during New York Fashion Week, where pals such as Chris Brown and Malin Akerman joined her to raise money for aid efforts in the earthquake, and her second-much needed-gala will raise funds for mothers and new babies in Haiti.
“I am deeply saddened by the recent tragedy in Haiti,” said Campbell “So many have been killed and severely affected by the earthquake – women and children in particular are most vulnerable in disasters. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone.”
Campbell is also teaming up with luxury carmaker Lotus, who have designed eight special edition vehicles named ‘Naomi for Haiti’. One of the cars will be auctioned off during the show, with the other seven being sold online at www.naomiforhaiti.com beginning Friday, February 19.
“I am delighted that Lotus Cars is supporting my Fashion for Relief charity and I am sure with such generous help we will raise crucial funds to help save the lives of women and children,” said the humanitarian supermodel.
