Astronaut Buzz Aldrin joined his fellow Apollo crew at a charity dinner in Florida last week as part of celebrations for the 40th Anniversary of the first moon landing.

About 30 people attended the event at The Surf restaurant in Cocoa Beach to raise funds for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, a charity that benefits college students pursuing science and technology degrees. Every year, The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation awards nineteen $10,000 scholarships to hard working students. To date, the foundation has awarded $2.6 million to deserving students nationwide.

Attendees also got items autographed by the astronauts and VIP tickets to a public Apollo anniversary celebration at Kennedy Space Center.
