Pop singer Kylie Minogue performed a special concert at the Miracle Africa International Fundraiser in Cannes earlier this week.

The 41-year-old sang a medley of her greatest hits at the Miracle Africa International Fundraiser, an event that aimed to raise money to help fight malaria in Africa.

“This is a very small venue compared to what I would normally do, and I’m going to absolutely love it, it just feels like a really sweaty show,” said Minogue shortly before performing at the VIP Club. “I turn around and there’s my band and we are all crammed in together.”

Famous faces spotted in the crowd included James Blunt and Hayden Panettiere.

“I think that philanthropy in any way is a good idea,” said Peaches Geldof, who also attended the show. “Any charity that raises awareness for people who are impoverished is obviously a good thing.”

“One of the things that I really saw in Africa that many people don’t realize is that malaria is the biggest issue,” added Nadia Murabet, Executive Director of the Miracle Africa International Foundation. “Yes AIDS is an issue but malaria is worse. So we really have to start moving to get it eradicated.”
