Today, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) – the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization – announced that it will honor actress and comedian Hannah Einbinder with HRC’s Visibility Award for expanding LGBTQ+ representation on and off-screen, as well as film, television and Broadway star Ashley Park with HRC’s Impact Award for her work as a committed and fervent ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

Presenting Park with the award will be fellow Joy Ride star and stand-up comedian Sherry Cola.

The event’s program will include singer/songwriter and chart topping artist David Archuleta, who will be performing alongside Tonality, a Grammy winning choir group working to uplift diversity, inclusion and social justice issues. Other program participants include member of HRC’s board of directors, actor and advocate Brian Michael Smith, as well as comedian Dana Goldberg. HRC President Kelley Robinson will also be participating in the program, addressing guests about the fight ahead for LGBTQ+ equality. The 2025 HRC Los Angeles dinner will take place on March 22nd.

“Centering LGBTQ+ voices and stories is not just part of resistance—it is the very backbone that has sustained our movement throughout its hard-fought history. As Hannah Einbinder brings her brilliance and humor to audiences across the world, she opens doors to enhanced LGBTQ+ representation in the entertainment space,” said Kelley Robinson, Human Rights Campaign President. “And we are incredibly honored to have Ashley Park join us—her presence illustrates the power of having committed LGBTQ+ allies alongside us. As the LGBTQ+ community continues to face vicious political attacks, it is paramount that we take the time and space to gather as a community and celebrate what makes us beautiful and vibrant.”

“It is such an honor to be receiving HRC’s Visibility award and to be joined by other members of the community committed to fighting for LGBTQ+ rights,” said actress and comedian Hannah Einbinder. “LGBTQ+ stories deserve to be heard, and I’m grateful to be able to uplift our voices and exemplify our shared humanity on-screen. I hope to continue bringing our stories to wide audiences and work together to make our world a better place.”

Three-time Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Hannah Einbinder is known for her role as “Ava Daniels” in the Emmy Award-winning hit HBO Max comedy series Hacks, whose fourth season debuts this spring. Though the series marks Einbinder’s first major television role, she is no stranger to the comedy world and has owned the stage as a stand-up comedian at venues and festivals around the country. She made her late-night stand-up debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2019 and was highlighted as one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” for 2021. Last year, she released her first stand-up special, ‘Everything Must Go’, on HBO Max, further cementing herself as one of the wittiest emerging talents in the industry.

“Everyone should be able to live authentically without fear, including the LGBTQ+ community. As a dedicated ally and an AANHPI woman, I know full well that we must work together to protect the rights and freedoms we all deserve,” said actress Ashley Park. “There is so much at stake right now and it’s so important that folks like me stand up in the face of injustice. I’m so grateful to be receiving HRC’s Impact Award and to reaffirm my commitment to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community as we work to achieve the shared goal of equality for all.”

Tony, Grammy, and Critics Choice award nominee Ashley Park is widely known for her role as ‘Mindy Chen’ on the hit Netflix series Emily in Paris—with the fourth season released in August 2024. The multihyphenate was seen in 2023 starring in Point Grey and Lionsgate’s Joy Ride from director Adele Lim, Netflix’s Emmy-nominated Beef, a dramedy from Lee Sung Jin, and on season three of Hulu’s critically acclaimed Only Murders in the Building. Park was most recently seen appearing in Paramount Pictures’ Mean Girls movie, based on Tina Fey’s musical adaptation of the 2004 hit film. Additional credits include Girls5eva and Tales of the City. Her work on Broadway includes Mamma Mia!, The King and I, Sunday in the Park with George, Grand Horizons and Mean Girls, for which she earned Tony, Drama League, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Chita Rivera Award nominations for her performance as ‘Gretchen Wieners.’

This year’s Los Angeles Dinner will bring together HRC’s most active advocates, members and supporters across southern California to raise crucial funds in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality. Tickets and further information are available here.
