On Sunday, January 25, the annual fundraiser “The Classic” was held at the Boca Lago Country Club in Florida. Actor-comedian Damon Wayans and singer Davy Jones of The Monkees were just a few of the celebrities to participate in the event which raises money for Home Safe, a nonprofit organization helping abused and neglected children in South Florida.

Wayans and Jones were also joined by actor Jamie Foxx at the event gala, which was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and hosted by legendary saxophone player Clarence Clemons from Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

Jones was more than happy to help the cause and quick to recognize the outpouring of support. “In a time of economic change, there are a lot of people still supporting the things they believe in, and Clarence Clemons and friends that he invited and other business people … we just try to help and care when we have the time to get involved,” Jones said.
