Extra host Mario Lopez is hosting the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner in New York City.

The event isn’t until May 16, but the television personality is already making an impact: tickets are sold out.

Lopez has consistently supported the military. He routinely shares pictures of veterans on his social media accounts. He’s also participated in fundraising efforts that help veterans get the resources they need to succeed.

WWP is committed to that mission as well. The Courage Awards will honor warriors and supporters who help empower the latest generation of veterans on their journeys to recovery.

To read more about Lopez and his involvement in the event, check out his WWP page at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/celebrities/mario-lopez.

If you can’t make it to Courage Awards, you can tune in to the livestream on WWP’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/wwp) and Twitch account (m.twitch.tv/wwp/profile).

Among the other celebrities attending is WWE wrestler Dolph Ziggler, who will be hosting an Instagram live feed on the red carpet before the event. Former America’s Got Talent contestant Johnny Manuel will perform the national anthem.
