Andy Grammer surprised 16k+ Penn State University students last week with a special performance to raise funds, and awareness, for childhood cancer.
Immediately following the performance, Andy Grammer met with families impacted by childhood cancer and talk with student leaders organizing the event.
The performance is a part of Penn State University’s THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Since 1973, THON has raised over $157 million to fund critical research and cover the cost of medical bills for 4,000 families. U.S. News & World Report continues to rank Penn State Children’s Hospital one of the best, and thanks to THON and Four Diamonds, it is the only children’s hospital to cover all medical bills for families fighting pediatric cancer (standard of care and experimental therapies).
