Last week on October 11, the March Of Dimes held their annual Signature Chefs Auction, one of LA’s most anticipated charity food events, at the SLS Beverly Hills.

At the successful event, March of Dimes celebrated renowned chef, Nancy Silverton, for her contributions and passion for culinary excellence; helping to raise much-needed funds to support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start.

The evening began with an extraordinary tasting of the most desirable cuisine, prepared and served by culinary masters and rising stars from top local establishments, followed by a seated dessert program and a rousing live auction, offering an opportunity to bid on insider packages and unique experiences including a a private 4-course dinner for 12 prepared by honoree Nancy Silverton and Chef Timothy Hollingsworth of Otium, along with wine pairings by Mayacamas, the storied Napa winery that has produced some of California’s most iconic and longest-lived bottles.

Todd Christopher, Partner at Gersh Agency, served as this year’s Signature Chefs Chair, while Mark Owens, CEO of Rogers & Cowan, served as co-chair of the event. Notable attendees supporting the March of Dimes included Aarti Sequeira, Holly Hannula & Rob Huebel, Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd, Adrianna Costa and Matt Altman.

March of Dimes gives 4 million babies born each year the best possible start. Nearly half a million of them are born prematurely or with birth defects. Premature birth and its complications are the largest contributors to infant death in the U.S. and pregnancy-related death has more than doubled over the past 25 years. Funds raised at the Signature Chefs Auction will support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start.
