On Thursday, October 18, 2018, amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, will pay tribute to superstar recording artist Katy Perry and TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie at its ninth annual amfAR Gala Los Angeles.
They will be presented with amfAR’s Award of Courage in recognition of their profound commitment to the fight against AIDS, as well as countless other humanitarian causes.
The black-tie benefit, which will feature a special performance by Dame Shirley Bassey, will take place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. It will include a cocktail reception and dinner featuring Perrier-Jouët Champagne and signature Absolut Elyx cocktails, and a live auction.
Katy Perry and Blake Mycoskie join previous amfAR honorees including Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Ryan Murphy, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Goldie Hawn, Aileen Getty, Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Huvane, Jean-Paul Gaultier, James Franco, Francisco Costa, Robert Duffy/Marc Jacobs International, Miley Cyrus, Andy Cohen, Cher, and more.
