ActivePDF, the leading provider of PDF automation solutions and technologies, has recently been announced as the presenting sponsor of the 8th Annual Getzlaf Golf Shootout benefiting CureDuchenne.

Hosted by Anaheim Ducks Captain Ryan Getzlaf and wife Paige, the event brings together athletes, celebrities, and community leaders in support of a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Getzlaf Golf Shootout is a 2-day charity event that begins with a private auction on Sept. 7, at Time Nightclub in Costa Mesa, featuring cocktails, dinner, and auctions. Some of the auction items include a round of golf and dinner with ActivePDF Brand Ambassador and PGA TOUR winner Charley Hoffman, exciting excursions, NHL hockey memorabilia, and more. The event continues on Sept. 8, at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, for a fun-filled day of food, drinks, games, and a one-of-a-kind, sold-out celebrity golf tournament.

Cure Duchenne is a leading nonprofit organization focused on funding research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This is the 3rd consecutive year ActivePDF has signed on as presenting sponsor of the popular event.

“Partnering with ActivePDF CEO Tim Sullivan over the years has been a pleasure,” says Ryan Getzlaf. “When we choose sponsors for the Getzlaf Golf Shootout, we look for more than someone just writing a check, we look for a caring and committed partnership. Finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy is close to Tim’s heart – you can see it when he’s attending events, interacting with kids affected by Duchenne, and even being active in the lives of families outside of this event. Paige and I are really touched by the continued support we get from Tim and the ActivePDF team. We look forward to working with ActivePDF once again on making this a successful event, raising money, and building awareness for the kids and their families dealing with this terrible disease.”

ActivePDF’s continued support of the Getzlaf Golf Shootout has helped raise more than $2 million dollars over the years. This has enabled CureDuchenne to fund 6 cutting-edge research projects and serves as a strategic partner in the DuchenneXchange, a safe and collaborative online platform where the Duchenne community can connect to critical resources for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

“When it comes to sponsoring the Getzlaf Golf Shootout, Tim Sullivan and the ActivePDF team exceeds expectations,” adds Paige Getzlaf. “It means so much to Ryan and I to have ActivePDF as a sponsor, because they are actively committed to finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. We know that if we need anything, we just call on Tim and he’s here for us. That goes above and beyond a sponsorship opportunity. I hope this partnership continues for as long as the fight goes on.”

ActivePDF will be on hand with games, special giveaways, and an opportunity to win a Getzlaf-signed hat and Anaheim Ducks tickets. To learn more about ActivePDF sponsorships, visit ActivePDF.com/Sponsorships.
