Austin’s beloved charity event Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) will return for its sixth year on April 12 – 13, 2018. MJ&M is the joint fundraising effort of Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, ACM Award-winning recording artist Jack Ingram, and ESPN analyst and Texas coaching legend Mack Brown.

The two-day nonprofit event was launched in 2013 and has raised nearly $7.5 million dollars for charitable organizations benefiting a handful of youth organizations that all reflect MJ&M’s goal to empower kids in their community.

“Bringing people together for a good cause is what MJ&M is all about,” said Coach Mack Brown. “Each year gets bigger and better, with thousands of people coming together to support kids in our community, all while having a great time.”

Mack, Jack & McConaughey hold the event very dear to their hearts, and all are dedicated to helping the younger generations grow in their communities. The event will benefit organizations dedicated to children’s education, health, and wellness, including CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation, and The Rise School of Austin.

The MJ&M two-day event will kick off on Thursday, April 12, with a gala and concert hosted at ACL Live at the Moody Theater. The evening will feature stage appearances by Mack, Jack & McConaughey, along with a live and silent auction followed by a headlining concert. Previous MJ&M headliners include Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Kacey Musgraves, Toby Keith, Sheryl Crow, and John Mellencamp.

Jack Ingram added, “This is one of my favorite nights of the year because I get to be with the most talented and generous musicians I know, doing what we love: playing music for a great cause. I always appreciate friends new and old showing up and performing to make MJ&M the most impactful, fun event of the year.”

On Friday, April 13, MJ&M puts on two events: a golf tournament featuring celebrities and talent from all over the country, and a once-in-a-lifetime fashion show. The golf tournament is hosted at the beautiful Spanish Oaks Golf Club, praised by Golf Digest as one of the top courses in Texas. The fashion show will be held at JW Marriott and is chaired by lifestyle expert and co-founder of Yummy Spoonfuls Camila Alves McConaughey. Past featured designers include Jason Wu, Veronica Beard, Badgley Mischka, Lela Rose, and MILLY.

Friday evening will conclude with Jack & Friends back at ACL Live at the Moody Theater for a singer-songwriter lineup of talent unmatched by any other singer-songwriter event. Little Big Town, Kris Kristofferson, Eric Church, Lyle Lovett, Bobby Pinson, and dozens of the biggest names in music have participated over the past five years, and the lineup coming together for 2018 promises to be the best yet.

“It’s great being home in Austin, and it means so much to me to be here celebrating the sixth year of MJ&M. Now more than ever is the time for us to come together and empower kids in the community to succeed,” said Matthew McConaughey. “Camila and I are proud to be part of this great event and raise awareness for a cause this important. We cannot wait to make an even greater impact in 2018.”
