A plethora of stars will attend this year’s Equality Now New York Gala.

This year’s “Make Equality Reality” gala celebrates Equality Now’s 25th Anniversary. Founded in 1992, Equality Now is an international human rights organization dedicated to ensuring that women and girls around the world can live their lives free from violence and discrimination. Combining grassroots activism with international, regional and national legal advocacy, the organization envisions a world in which women and men have equal rights under the law and full enjoyment of those rights. Its issue areas encompass Legal Equality, Justice for Girls, and ending Sex Trafficking, Sexual Violence and Harmful Practices, including female genital mutilation (FGM) and “child marriage.” The organization has partners and supporters in almost every country in the world.

Expected to attend are honorees Susan Chokachi (President and CEO, Gucci America) and Brisa De Angulo (Founder, A Breeze of Hope Foundation); Gala Co-Chair Gloria Steinem; Creative Director Joss Whedon; Equality Now Global Executive Director Yasmeen Hassan; Performers & guests: Amir Arison, Nazanin Boniadi, Vinie Burrows, Amy Carlson, Nisha Ganatra, Ana Gasteyer, Christine Lahti, Aasif Mandvi, Lauren Mayberry, Matt McCoy, Jennifer Morrison, Dascha Polanco, Alysia Reiner, AnnaSophia Robb, Sheetal Sheth and a musical performance by Haim.
